Before the temperatures cool off this weekend, I wanted to post my favorite color palette right now, which I think works great for fall. This board was inspired by one of my favorite things ginkgo trees. But not just any ginkgo tree. It has to be late fall when every leaf has gone from green to completely yellow. The five-year-old in me is still amazed to see anything besides green leaves.
For brides working with a small budget warm yellow accents with berries and branches like in this inspiration board can add a brilliant effect without draining your funds. And we’ll add this year’s hottest hue, a steely gray just because we can’t get enough of it!

So you’re planning a fall wedding and have no idea what flowers are actually in season. Your favorite buds, tulips or hydrangeas, will cost a pretty penny since they aren’t in season, and that’s if their available. What’s a bride to do?? Dahlias. There are several variations of the flower. Below are a few favorites of the pom pom dahlia. Enjoy!

What colors do you see when you think of having a fall or winter wedding? Is it always burnt orange and brown or winter white and crimson red? For the next several months I will be posting inspiration boards of color alternatives as well as updates of these old faithfuls.
My last post featured white wedding cakes that had just as much personality as colored cakes. Today I am bringing an inspiration board of creams, ivorys and pale pinks. I first fell in love with this palette when I decorated my college bedroom. After a stressful day at school, I found so much peace and comfort in my muted hues room. The trick to bringing these “non-colors” to life is through texture and warm lighting.
