My latest obsession

September 26, 2008  |  Color Me Inspired

I first fell in love with ranunculuses when I saw this arrangement of hyacinths, tulips and rans.

Not only is the flower beautiful but it’s also very affordable. For the bride craving a fuller flower like the peony, the ranunculus is a great way to incorporate the shape without breaking the budget. See how others are using ranunculuses in bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces.

  1. OMG!!! I’m so excited to hear that these are affordable. I was thinking about roses but I love how these look a little more unique. I want my wedding to be a little more modern and I think these will fit in perfectly.

  2. I. LOVE. IT. I was it a wedding this past weekend and the reception hall was full of those. They were in beautiful fall colors. It was lovely. Great find. Can’t wait till my big day!

  3. I think these are gorgeous. I love how a lot of the bouquet lately are filled with the larger flowers instead of a lot of small fillers. They make everything seem so natural, just like someone has just gathered flowers from a garden. 🙂
You have such good taste and I wish I would have put you in charge of these type of things for my wedding, because knowing the look you want is important, and you are good at finding good deals on what people have in mind. You should have started business about a year earlier!!!
I really like that as a boutineer, it’s different from the normal rose you see everywhere. Great ideas!!!

  4. So I talked it over with Brandon and he’s allright with us getting married again, just so you can plan our wedding 🙂 i’m so proud of you, and i LOVE the blog so far!!!

  5. val! i love it! i’m seriously impressed with your knowledge of flower names 🙂 ranunculuses are one of my favorite flowers too because they seem like a vintage style flower to me for some reason. and the fake versions look super real at hobby lobby and michaels, which makes for an even better reason to love them.

looks like i have another great blog to add to my list 🙂
