Ok I’m way late on this too. ; )
I’ve been using the photo app Instagram for my twitter photos but didn’t realize Instagram itself was it’s own form of social media. You can follow people like you do on twitter and see the photos they share with captions. I love seeing other people’s perspectives/days through photos. If you’re like me, you take more pictures than you actually post. Here is where those photos end up!
Find me @valwoerner and share your name in the comments as well if you have an instagram account.
Leaving you with a few of my recent pics!
When Harry Met Sally is my absolute favorite movie. I’ve watched it atleast 30 times. Here’s my favorite quote:
I love that you get cold when it’s 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you’re looking at me like I’m nuts. I love that after I spend the day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it’s not because I’m lonely, and it’s not because it’s New Year’s Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.
Today I’m picturing how that conversation would have looked for Harry and Sally 20 years later in this adorable New Year’s Eve shoot from Green Wedding Shoes.
I love the muted palette that pops so much with all the fun textures! If you are planning a New Year’s Eve wedding next year, consider this refreshing palette. ENJOY!
I’m off for a morning of meetings and a trip to Monroe to meet with my December bride! Just wanted to share a wedding I saw yesterday on Snippet & Ink. The details are simple but began with such a naturally beautiful canvas in their location. Nothing is overdone. Perfection!!
I don’t go crazy for Halloween decor. All the orange and black are a little too theme-y for me! But I do remember LOVING this rehearsal dinner I saw on Style Me Pretty two years ago. I still love the sophisticated take on the candy and goblins holiday!
More photos here!
I’m mildly obsessed with flowers. I normally go for neutral tones but I just love Sarah Winward‘s creative combination of color in these arrangements! Gorgeous!! Enjoy!
Last night, I hopped on twitter to see all new tweets mentioning and mourning the loss of Steve Jobs. I sat there shocked as I told Tyler. I actually teared up. I’ve never met him, nor could I even spot him in a crowd of people. But something inside me made me wonder how many great things he had left to accomplish that the world will never know or, honestly, if we’d ever have someone who would shape our technology as much ever again. It seemed like a finite end.
The answer? All of us have the potential. It’s already in us. We just have to harness it.
Instead of simply mourning the loss of someone who has revolutionized the way be do so many things, I hope we can find inspiration in it. Steve Jobs wasn’t superhuman, just human. But he was filled with a passion and desire to do what he did as well as the drive to actually make it happen.
If one person can have such an impact, how big would the impact of six billion+ people be?? No excuses, people. We are all capable. Saw this tweeted today.
“Steve Jobs was born out of wedlock, put up for adoption at birth, dropped out of college, then changed the world. What’s your excuse?”
Photo: From our Philly trip. I was fascinated by all our Apple products in use even on the road. 3 of Tyler and I’s 7 Apple devices.
