Pumpkin spice lattes (or for some, the beginning of football season) = the true sign fall has arrived. It may still be 90+ degrees outside, but I’m starting to get a taste of fall. Or, maybe it’s just my imagination …
I’ve resisted putting my Halloween decorations up since mid-August (demonstrating serious self-restraint), but my heart skipped a few beats the other morning when I walked outside to see that my neighbor beat me to putting up her door decor. How dare she? From that minute, it was game on.
So, the fall door decor went up the next day. I’m still working on inspiration for this year’s fall/ table setting but as I was looking for something to get my wheels turning, I couldn’t help but put together a few of my favorites things about fall.
Light the cinnamon candle, take a sip of your pumpkin spice latte, stir your gumbo, and water your crotons.
Enjoy this little Fall inspiration.
I’ve been anxiously waiting to share details about a bridal shower that I was lucky enough to be one of the hostesses for. Kim is the last of my bridesmaids to tie the knot. She traveled from Dallas this weekend for a pink and green bridal shower that we were so excited to throw for her.
Since we wanted the shower to look and feel like her upcoming wedding and two receptions in her and her fiance’s hometowns, we went with a hot pink and green color theme.
Below is the invitation. MintedGreyDesigns helped to make this invitation exactly what we wanted to reflect Kim’s style. They were precious!
Since Kim was traveling, we decided to have a brunch to accommodate her travel schedule. But as a big group of Southern girls, we loved the idea of a brunch. Decorated with pink and green flowers (of course), below is a sampling of what we enjoyed.
Veggie spread with Hummus, Guacamole, and Chipotle Dip
Lemon Bundt Cake
Red Velvet Cupcakes
Is your mouth watering yet?
We had such a great time and are so excited for Kim to marry her Prince Charming next month at the Biltmore!
It’s Masters Sunday – enough said. I love the vibrant colors and country club feel of this inspiration board…especially the Just Married golf cart.
I’m taking a short break from posting about our wedding, but I couldn’t get too far away from it. BC’s brother, Dailey (who also painted our bridesmaids gifts) gave us the below painting as our wedding gift. It makes me happy everyday when I look at it and it goes beautifully with the Spode Blue Italian accent pieces we registered for and the Flow Blue pieces we’ve been lucky to receive.
It was the perfect inspiration for an antique Flow Blue board.
Chevron is all the rage these days. Here’s a classy take on how to incorporate it into your big day – with a touch of the always-classy damask.

Hello everyone! Today I’ve got an inspiration board inspired by one of my weddings a few weeks ago. When I saw the bridesmaids’ full look complete, I fell in love!! The bride chose peach J Crew dresses for the bridesmaids. Pool blue tear drop earrings and yellow daffodils. It screamed Spring! In honor of unusually and pleasantly cool spring temperatures here in South Louisiana, I hope you enjoy!!
