Laid Back Whimsy

Editor’s Note: I have been a long time fan of Rifle Paper Co. and am thrilled to share Anna’s wedding inspiration with you today!

Rifle Paper Co. is a boutique stationery brand and design studio based in Winter Park, Florida created by Anna Bond together with her husband Nathan. The products feature Anna’s whimsical designs which often include hand-painted illustrations and lettering to compose a style that feels both nostalgic and timeless.

INSPIRATION

My wedding was pretty laid back (an outdoor wedding at a secluded cottage on a farm in Florida) and I chose to stick with that same style here. I had more of a festive themed wedding with a mariachi band and handmade paper decorations. If I were to do it over I would probably incorporate more of an organic feel with beautiful fresh flowers from Saipua, simple strands of cafe lights, and soft colors. I also planned my wedding in 3 months so I think I’d up it to at least 5 if I had another go around! Now that I work with brides whose weddings are a year or more away I sometimes wonder how I pulled it off but I’m also glad that I was forced to make quick decisions and didn’t have time to stress over anything.

DETAILS

I chose images that I thought reflected the laid back atmosphere I would go for… Simple setting, trees, beautiful florals, a simple dress, and simple yet creative & whimsical stationery. I tried to stick with a light and fun color palette with mint, peach, greens, and corals.
